Thanks for visiting Threaded Leather Co's newly designed website. Whether you've found us through Facebook, Instagram, Etsy, or Google, we welcome you! I plan to use this space to keep you informed of what we're up to in our shop, our new products, experiences, and tips for choosing the right watch strap or leather accessory. On that note, I'll start by introducing myself.
My name is James Wheatley. I grew up just outside of Washington D.C. and am currently studying Computer Science in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. I make Horween Leather watch straps and other leather goods in between my classes.
Threaded Leather Co. is my pride and joy. It all started with the desire to add variety and a bit of class to my watch collection without spending too much money. My first "real" watch was the Seiko SKX007. I fell in love with the watch immediately, but the standard canvas and stainless steel bands from watch manufacturers were not cutting it for me. After tracking down a local leather store, I bought some cheap scrap leather to make myself a leather watch strap. After a few weeks of trial and error with techniques and leathers, I was able to make an exceptional watch band out of the famous Horween Leather. Satisfied with my craftsmanship and obsessed with the quality of leather that Horween provides, I quickly became determined to deliver these quality watch straps to the world. It's my hope that you have a positive experience with my company.
